To celebrate the release of Vyse, we created a showdown with a unique build-up and format. The campaign began with a teasing stage where chosen captains received mysterious invitation cards themed around Vyse’s flower. Without context, they shared them on socials, sparking curiosity. This was followed by coded invitations that the captains had to solve live on stream, revealing their role in a new showdown designed to test both their skills and creativity.
Instead of directly announcing the teams, we added a new layer with live auditions. Captains hosted interview-style streams where influencers applied to join their squads. This sparked rivalries, banter, and community involvement, making the buildup as entertaining as the matches themselves.
The Shoukdown, named after Vyse’s thorns with a nod to the Arabic word shouk, featured eight influencer teams across two brackets. The first tournament matched NA against Egypt, while the second pitted Egypt against the GCC. Matches were streamed on the VALORANT Arabia Twitch channel, with more than forty influencers broadcasting simultaneously on their own platforms.
Each game included a spin-the-wheel map selection and special rounds inspired by Vyse’s abilities. Players faced challenges such as only moving with shift, being restricted to one site, playing with sunglasses on, or competing without primary weapons. The Vyse agent rotated between players across halves, and special mechanics like “Skip the Vyse” kept the format unpredictable.
This event blended competition, creativity, and community participation, amplifying the excitement around Vyse’s release and embedding her character identity directly into the player experience.
